uo;Such a type of incident is of grave concern and it is unbelievable that a person will give slip while in police lockup,” Geelani in a statement said urging the human rights organizations to take cognisance of this case. Referring to ‘uncaring approach and enigmatic silence’ of police authorities, Geelani said, “It is unbear
able.”
Meanwhile, the Hurriyat spokesman in a statement today said “ICDS workers, SPOs and agencies sponsored NGOs have been asked to attend public meetings being organized
by PDP.”
He said “The PDP led state administration stands exposed and they are desperate to show its worth. They are compelling the class forth wo
rkers to attend the public gathering. Th
ey threaten them to face consequences if they fail to attend these public meetings. These wo
rkers and employees are harassed and impressed to attend these meetings.”
“Just like National Conference, PDP too has lost its ground and faith and their party credentials and symbol stand on the verge of extinction and as such are very desperate to revive their existence,” the spokesman said.
He said “Despite complete submission
by PDP cadres, the Jan Sangh leadership doesn’t trust them and they doubt their credibility and credentials. PDP is a confusing lot. They are hiring and deploying all its machinery to make its show a success. They have asked all NGOs and ICDS wo
rkers to attend the PDP public gathering.”
