RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visit
ed the elite Strike Corps at Multan Garrison on Monday.
While laying a floral wreath at Yadgar-e Shuhada, he offered Fatiha for the martyrs. The corps commander briefed Bajwa on operational readiness of the troops.
Later, while addressing the soldiers a
nd officers, the COAS appreciated troops’ vigilance in the ongoing counter-terrori
sm operations. He specifically prais
ed them for simultaneously keeping themselves trained and prepared to thwart challenges of
conventional war.
Bajwa said that the soldiers of Pakistan Army are the best in the world. “I am proud to be the COAS of a brave and highly professional Army,” he said.
Our counter-terrorism experience has made us battle-hardened, which was a valued add-on. He direct
ed the officers and soldiers to keep themselves fully fit and well-informed to counter all types of threats.
